Nadia’s brother moves for bail
HERALD REPORTER
MARGAO, JULY 27
The brother of deceased Nadia Torrado, Konrad has moved the South Goa Sessions court on Tuesday for anticipatory bail fearing arrest in connection with the death of his sister.
In another development, the brother of former Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco, Simplicio has also moved the Session court for anticipatory bail in the forgery case registered at the Quepem police station.
In his bail plea, Konrad submitted that he has been falsely implicated in the case and his detention is not at all required for investigations of the case as he has fully cooperated with the police.
Apprehending that he may be arrested and detained in the case, Konrad said the Crime branch have maliciously registered an offense under Section 304 and 306 of the IPC even though both the sections are mutually incompatible.

Saying that he has been traumatised by the continuous interrogations, Konrad submitted to the court that he is liable to be granted anticipatory bail.
Meanwhile, Adv Anacleto Viegas, legal counsel for the former Tourism Minister has informed that Mickky’s brother Simplicio has filed anticipatory bail fearing arrest in the Quepem forgery case lodged by Pacheco’s estrange wife Sara.
